Each year LibraryCon welcomes a diverse array of creatives, creators, cosplayers, visual artists, and more as Guest of the event. See below for a breakdown of who’s attending LibraryCon 2026. Our guests will be participating in a variety of Q&A panels and classes. Our list of Guests is always growing, so make sure to check back for more information on who’s attending this year!

Sam Lotfi

SAM LOTFI is a comic book creator and illustrator best known for his books INNARDS (Ignition Press), MOSELY (Boom! Studios), ALFRED: PAIN in the BUTLER (DC Comics), LAST STOP on the RED LINE (Dark Horse Comics) GODZILLA VS TEXAS & TMNT Covers (IDW) as well as other works for DC, IDW, Titan Comics, Dynamite, 1First Comics and Antarctic Press. Sam was the character designer and storyboard artist for the multiple award winning animated short film RED TAPE, the film won Best Animated Short at the Burbank International Film Festival and WorldFest Houston among others. Sam’s artistic contributions include a variety of animated and video game projects, most recently the VR shooter SWARM 1 & 2 and BLOODY HOLLOW from Electi Studio, the American gothic horror miniatures game. When he’s not at the drawing board, Sam is developing new creator-owned projects for future book series.

Joe Eisma

Joe Eisma is the Eisner nominated artist & co-creator of the New York Times Bestseller, Morning Glories, from Image Comics. In addition, he has drawn The Other/Half from Ignition Press, Godzilla Vs. Texas and Star Trek from IDW Publishing, Archie, Riverdale and Jughead: The Hunger from Archie Comics, The Flash from DC Comics, and many more over the years. He resides in Wylie, Texas with his wife and sons.

Greg Foley

Greg Foley didn’t know what he wanted to be when he grew up. So he never really grew up. Just like Dex Dingo, he’s always wanted to be the World’s Best Greatest Ever at something. So he tries his best at being lots of different things, like author, illustrator, designer, director, cartoonist, New Yorker cover artist, teacher, inventor, and dad.

Along the way Greg has received numerous honors, including the Charlotte Zolotow Award, Art Directors Club Gold and Silver Awards, a Grammy nomination, as well as a Guinness World Record, and his work has been exhibited at places like the MoMA, Centre Pompidou, New York Public Library, Yale’s Beinecke Library, and many more. He is the author / illustrator of thirteen books including: Thank You Bear, Willoughby & the Moon, Purple Little Bird, Kat Writes a Song, and Dex Dingo: World's Best Greatest Ever! Yehudi Mercado

Yehudi Mercado creates bold, character-driven worlds across film, animation, theme parks, and comics. A screenwriter, cartoonist, and director, he worked with DreamWorks Feature Animation and has helmed Cinema 4D attractions for Universal Studios Japan, including Detective Conan 4D Live and Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4D.

He is the creator of graphic novels including Cat Ninja, Chunky, Sci-Fu, and Rocket Salvage. He also served as showrunner for the Hero Hotel podcast adaptation on Pinna. Yehudi is currently writing and co-directing an animated feature film for Paramount based on his original book Freddy the 13th.

Victoria Grace Elliott

Victoria Grace Elliott or vge (she/he/they) is a queer Southern comic author and illustrator. Her debut middle grade nonfiction comics YUMMY: A HISTORY OF DESSERTS and TASTY: A HISTORY OF YUMMY EXPERIMENTS (Random House Graphic) explore a love of food, history, and culture through cute sprite narrators. Their YA romance comic debut PLEASE BE MY STAR (Scholastic Graphix) lovingly reinterprets The Phantom of the Opera as an ode to being a weird teen in Texas and was selected as a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year. Their latest romance comic SWEET REVENGE (Scholastic Graphix, coming February 2027) follows a high school junior down the rabbit hole as she exacts revenge on the crush who ghosted her – but did she love him or did she want to be him? Victoria writes, draws, colors, and letters all of their comics on their own.

Jessica Lee Anderson

Jessica Lee Anderson is a multiple award-winning author of over 100 books for young readers to include Gator Bites, a Scholastic Book Fairs top-ten bestselling book as well as several other popular Scholastic titles: My Magic Friends (Baby Dragon Takes Flight, Baby Phoenix Makes New Friends, Fairy Rescue), and the newest series created by Kyla May called Sea Pony Tails. She’s authored 24 chapter books to include the award-winning Naomi Nash series (Saving Snakes, The Mystery of the Ball Python, The Drama Noodle, and Problems at the Pond). In addition to Scholastic and Capstone, she’s published fiction and nonfiction with publishers such as Milkweed Editions (winner of the Milkweed Prize for Children's Literature), Rourke Educational Media, Heinemann, Pearson, and a variety of magazines including Highlights for Children and Highlights High Five. Jessi Jordan

Jessi Jordan is a professional illustrator, comic artist & writer in Austin, Texas. Her work includes Cryptids, The Wilds, Everything is Going Wrong, Corpus, The Secret Loves of Geeks, Mine!, Musings, and The Adventures of Marni & Edward.

G.M. Gray

G.M. Gray is an Austin-based science-fiction and fantasy author and illustrator. They recently finished their queer-normative space opera light novel series, Triple Strike, which they both write and illustrate. Some of their biggest literary inspirations for Triple Strike are Ursula K Le Guin, Terry Pratchett, and Leiji Matsumoto, while the series itself could be described as Star Trek meets Our Flag Means Death meets Phoenix Wright. They are currently working on a video game set in the Triple Strike universe, as well as several writing projects, including an unrelated cyberpunk novel trilogy.

Bethany Sellers

Bethany Sellers is a graphic designer, illustrator, and cartoonist in Austin, Texas. She loves drawing Art Nouveau and symbolist-inspired art with fantasy and nature themes. She's the creator of the webcomic The Talisman of Halios

P. J. (Tricia) Hoover wanted to be a Jedi, but when that didn't work out, she became an electrical engineer instead. After a fifteen year bout designing computer chips for a living, P. J. started creating worlds of her own. She's the best-selling and award-winning author of over 50 books. Under the Connor Hoover pseudonym, she is also the author of the popular Pick Your Own Quest® series, which are interactive adventures perfect for everyone. When not writing, P. Mari Mancusi

MARI MANCUSI is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than forty novels including several Disney Twisted Tales, Frozen novels, and her award-winning dragon apocalypse series, New Dragon City. When not writing, Mari loves to travel the world, cosplay at conventions, and readily admits to playing way too many video games. Vo Nguyen

Vo Nguyen has been working professionally in the comic book industry since the mid-90s on indie books, cover art, trade & sketch cards, paintings, and other collectibles. He's provided artwork for companies such as Marvel, DC, AMC, Dynamite, and IDW. Vo recently launched Big Deal Publication and its premiere its 1st book, Survivor! He is also a founder of Greater Austin Comic Con, Giganticon, and Hill Country Comic Con.

Isaiah Broussard

Isaiah Broussard is an independent cartoonist based in Austin, Texas. He created the all-ages comedy/horror comic “Transyltown”, and currently creates “Uppity”, a gag strip about a jazz/blues band living in Jim Crow era America, and the sci-fi extravaganza “The Funktastic Adventure”. Mary Bellamy

Mary Bellamy, a licensed illustrator who works from her home studios in Los Angeles and Austin. She works on iconic franchises such as My Little Pony, Marvel, DC Comics, Ghostbusters, Adventure Time, and Rick and Morty. She has crafted over 5,000 artist trading cards for Upperdeck, Topps, and Rittenhouse and more. Through both writing, coloring, editing and illustration, her work has been published in over 250 books. She also publishes her two series Ah Heck!! and Faux Facts – The Truth Can Be Strange!

Artificer Jen

Artificer Jen started cosplaying before knowing what it even was. After taking her first sewing class at the age of 8 every Halloween and event was an opportunity to dress up. She got more serious into costuming in high school doing work for all the school plays, and when she graduated and went to her first comic con, she discovered cosplay; and it was a perfect fit. In 2022 she decided to enter the competitive cosplay world and has won some awards here and there. With each cosplay she makes she is constantly pushing herself to improve current skills and learn new crafts.

Katie Kat Cosplay

Katie is an award-winning cosplayer, performer, and educator who loves helping people bring their ideas to life. She has experience in sewing, pattern drafting, EVA foam work, 3D printing, prop making, and performance, and enjoys sharing the techniques she’s learned with cosplayers of all skill levels. In addition to cosplay, Katie works as a performance manager at a haunted attraction, where she trains performers and helps create immersive character experiences. Whether she’s building cosplay, recreating historical clothing, or tackling a new project, she’s always excited to keep learning, creating, and encouraging others to do the same.

Sailor Kikido

Sailor Kikido grew up sewing and playing dress up when she discovered the world of cosplay. Since then, she's been nonstop in making and creating. Mostly cosplaying anime and games, she loves to compete in cosplay contests, as well as share techniques with others. She believes that anyone can cosplay, and the cosplay world is open to anyone and everyone of any level

Mari Alma

Mari Alma is a multi-talented Austin-based artist using engineering and creativity to help express her works. Showcasing her works in Fashion shows, Cosplay cons, and Makers' conventions, her group CosTheory hopes to encourage others to learn STEAM principles in art and life. Creativity is needed everywhere, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math can make it come true.

Damien Ghoul

Hello, My name is Damien Ghoul Cos. Ive been cosplaying since 2018 and have been competing since 2024. Im a craftsmanship based cosplayer, and am always ready to teach and inspire beginner cosplayers. I also dabble in cosplay photography, and Im always making sure this community is safe and welcoming!

Nitpicky Cosplay

My name is Nitpicky Cosplay and I am a master level cosplayer with over 15 years of experience in crafting and competition; sewing is my specialty but I also love making wigs and props.

I love this community and sharing my knowledge with those both in and out of the cosplay community; I enjoy nothing more than bringing smiles to peoples faces through my creations.

My newest goal within in the community is to help break the stigma that you have to have a high follower count or strong social media presence to be good at cosplay so that we can leave a better and more positive community for the young cosplayers of the future.

Rojin Cosplay

Rojin (Ernest) has been cosplaying since 2018. He enjoys the creativity cosplay allows for bringing his imagination to life. He has won awards, but mostly enjoys getting to meet new cosplayers of all levels and ages.

He enjoys trying new materials and techniques, from his first cosplays with Cardboard and random household items to Resin and 3D printing.

Rojin ( japanese for “old man”) turned 58 in 2026 and is a perfect example of: “You’re never too old to Cosplay”. He is always available to help any cosplayer in need, with his “Free cosplay repair” when at any Convention he attends.

Rojin is also helping the next generation of cosplayers as he is often side by side with his 2 daughters who have taken up the torch to making their own Cosplay Creations.

Lex Vanzura

My name is Lex Vanzura, and I’m a cosplayer from Round Rock, Texas. When I was a child, my grandmother taught me how to sew for 4-H competitions, and I’ve been costume obsessed ever since then. I started cosplaying in 2019 and now compete in the Master’s category. I draw most of my inspiration from 1980's fantasy films, Tim Burton, literature, and indie comics. I specialize in sewing, hand embroidery, needle felting, jewelry making, up-cycling materials and traditional sculpting. I believe anyone can cosplay.

Saber Guild

Saber Guild is the largest not-for-profit, LFL-recognized, costumed lightsaber performance club. Jakku Temple is the Central Texas branch with members throughout the Austin and San Antonio greater areas. We enhance local charity, community, and pop culture event experiences through the use of costumed lightsaber choreography to conduct our Interactive Jedi Experience, stage performances, and photo opportunities. We also raise awareness and donations for charity organizations such as The Texas Lion's Camp, Make-a-Wish, and many more. Our mission is to raise and support Texas charities throughout the Central Texas area through our love of Star Wars.

Mando Mercs Costume Club, founded in 2007, is one of the largest global Star Wars costuming organizations comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. It encourages members to focus on adding their personal and distinctive creative individuality to their Mandalorian costumes. Kar’ta Beskar is the local Central Texas clan of the Mando Mercs Costume Club and stretches from San Marcos to Waco, College Station to Fort Stockton. Austin Ghostbusters

Austin Ghostbusters is a cosplay group based in Austin, Texas. They are big movie fans with big hearts. When these passions combine the result is a powerful force of community service. Through direct donation, appearances at fundraisers, and other charitable acts, they have raised thousands of dollars for Central Texas charities. As a staple of all of the area's biggest comic conventions and a crowd favorite at parades, they have also brought smiles to the faces of thousands of our fellow Texans.

Star Garrison

Star Garrison represents Texas within the 501st Legion. The 501st Legion (aka Vader’s Fist) is a worldwide Star Wars fan club celebrating the Star Wars universe using costumes and props, in particular those of the Stormtrooper characters, Imperial forces, and other various “bad guy” characters. The Legion is a volunteer club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion’s aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly, to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work.

GrapeApe

Matt Robertson, aka GrapeApe, is a YouTube streamer and personality who shares his extensive collections of collectibles on The Collectors Alphabet, which airs every Sunday night at 8:00pm CT. GrapeApe is the creator and co-host of RAW: Rules As Written, a hour long rules discussion panel with featured special guests, which can be found on the Goodman Games YouTube channel. He also ran The Reaver Express, a live-play Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign that spanned two years.

Matt works for one of the best RPG companies in the business, Goodman Games, in the Community Outreach Dept. He supports the Road Crew and Organized Play programs and is a lead organizer for Goodman Games' conventions - Dungeon Con, Cyclops Con, and DCC Demo Weeks.

Matt is the owner of Split the Party Games and has third party published the DCC-compatible adventures A Conspiracy of Ravens and The Golden Idol of En-Tridar! He has worked as an editor for multiple Indie publishers and was the lead administrator for the 2024 and 2025 Gongfarmer's Almanac.

Matt is married with 2 kids, loves meatballs of any kind, and it goes without saying that his favorite color is purple!

Jeff Dee

Jeff Dee has worked in the gaming industry for over 45 years. His artwork has appeared in numerous games and magazines, including TSR's Deities and Demigods (as well as many AD&D modules and other early TSR products), Villains & Vigilantes, Traveller, adventures for the Star Wars RPG from West End Games, Magic the Gathering, and others. He co-designed Villains & Vigilantes, TWERPS (The World's Easiest Role-Playing System) from Gamescience, and Cavemaster the Stonepunk RPG and Bethorm: the Plane of Tekumel from UNIgames. Cavemaster won the 2013 Three Castles Design Award at NTRPGCon. Jeff has also worked in the computer games industry on games such as Ultima VI, Master of Orion, Master of Magic, and Wing Commander. He was the art director on Ultima VII, and the lead game designer on The Sims: Castaway Stories. Jeff currently works as a game design consultant, and operates paper game publishing company Monkey House Games with V&V co-creator Jack Herman. The latest from Monkey House is ‘War Heroes’, the WWII sourcebook for Mighty Protectors, the 3rd edition of V&V.

Game Master Mom

Nicole Griffith, aka Game Master Mom, is a children's author & game designer. Her books and games are inspired by her experience GMing tabletop RPGs for kids. By day, Nicole is a professional counselor, and weaves her knowledge of mental health and children's development into her storytelling.

The Masters of Unlocking consist of Matt and Bryan who are on a mission to take you on a sonic journey across video game history from the deepest depth of the ocean to the furthest reaches of space.

Bubblegum Mayhem

Selima, also known as Bubblegum Mayhem, is a native Austin movement artist and dedicated performer with a lifelong passion for exploring the art of embodied expression. Her background spans dance, aerial arts, and flow movement, blending technique with creativity to craft performances that are both engaging and memorable.

Selima currently teaches aerial arts at Sky Candy Austin, where she supports students in building strength, confidence, and artistry in the air. Outside the studio, she performs regularly at local venues, bringing grace and energy to stages across the city.

Perpetual Motion Woodwind Quartet

Perpetual Motion is a woodwind quintet that started in March 2018 after two of the founding members performed in a SXSW Showcase at the Spiderhouse Ballroom in Austin. Since then, we have performed at the TX State Capitol rotunda, KMFA's Draylen Mason Music Studio, Central Market's Texas Community Music Fest, Austin airport's Asleep at the Wheel stage, and many independent salon house parties. Current personnel includes:

The Book Burrow

The Book Burrow is an independent bookstore. It isn't owned by a big corporation, so people are its mission. We made it a safe space for all our friends and the friends we haven't met yet. We want them to know that this business has a heart and in Pflugerville, we couldn't say it better than Embrace your Weird.

The Friends of Pflugerville Library

The Friends of the Pflugerville Library raises funds to support library programs, publicizes library activities, and promotes reading and literacy. They also support the summer reading programs, benefitting the entire community. Membership is open. Check out their event booth for graphic novels and manga.
